Detailed Itinerary:
Day 01 (12.01.2025): Journey from Kolkata to Gangasagar Mela with Guide
The tour starts with a morning pickup from Babughat, Kolkata at 10 AM. You will be transferred to Kakdwip, Lot 8 Harwood Point Jetty in a private vehicle. Upon arrival at the Jetty Point, you will be provided with pre-booked ferry tickets to cross the Muriganga River to Gangasagar Island. Once you reach Gangasagar Island, a private vehicle will take you to your pre-arranged accommodation. In the evening, you are free to explore on your own. Suggested places for visiting include Snan Ghat, Kapil Muni Ashram, Naga Baba Kuti, and Mela Darshan. Overnight stay at your Gangasagar accommodation.
Day 02 (13.01.2025): Explore Island Local Tourist Sites & Forest
This day is dedicated to exploring local tourist spots on the island. You will receive suggestions and guidance for your visits. A pure vegetarian breakfast and dinner will be provided as part of your package. After a day of exploring, you will return to your accommodation for an overnight stay.
Day 03 (14.01.2025): Makar Sankranti Holy Snan, Puja & Havan
Start the day with the sacred Makar Sankranti snan at the Gangasagar Sangam, followed by Tarpan and Gow Dan rituals. Afterward, visit the Kapil Muni Temple for puja and prayer. Once you return to your tent, arrangements for a Jagya and Havan will be made. After completing these religious activities, you can enjoy breakfast and relax during your leisure time. The rest of the day is free for your own activities. Overnight stay at Gangasagar.
Day 04 (15.01.2025): Return to Kolkata from Gangasagar
After breakfast, check out from your accommodation and begin your return journey to Kolkata via the same route as Day 1. The tour concludes with well wishes and sweet memories of your Gangasagar Mela and Makar Sankranti Snan Yatra.
